Arrival:
Car Riders: all car riders will be dropped off in the back of the building (look for the green dumpsters)
● IT staff members will supervise and assist during student arrival
● Grab n Go breakfast will be available to students upon entering the building
● Students will go directly to their hallway and homebase
Bus Riders: will enter the building at the auditorium atrium
● IT staff members will supervise and assist during student arrival

Dismissal:
Bus Riders: bus riders will be dismissed through a controlled dismissal procedure that minimizes student clustering and large groups
Bus riders will be escorted by teachers to the bus loading area
● Students will immediately board their assigned bus
● IT staff will supervise and assist during student dismissal
Car Riders: car riders will be picked up in the back of the building
● Students will sit by homebase/team
● Students will load as instructed by a member of the car line staff
● IT staff will supervise and assist during student pick up
Class Size, Spacing
● 25 desks in every class, forward facing, approximately 6’ apart, seating charts for each class
● No community supplies
● Seating charts needed for every environment
● No Lockers will be used
● Students travel on the right side of the hall. Try to avoid passing other teams when possible
● Hallway decisions: Teachers will determine scheduled breaks for:
○ Bathrooms and water
○ Handwashing - multiple times daily
○ Oxygen - Breathing - multiple times daily
Movement Operations
● Arrival Procedures
○ Bus offloading one at a time
○ Car Line Team:
■ Route a.m. traffic to the back of the building
■ Create as many drop off slots for cars in the a.m. as possible
■ Address staffing for a.m. drop off. Shift more staff to a.m. car line duty
■ Review social distancing during p.m. car line
○ Grab-n-go carts for breakfast
○ 7:00am - 7:15 Students will report to the auditorium (if the numbers of students are low during this time)
○ 7:15am - 7:50am Students will report directly to class. We learned from Kids Camp that having large designated holding areas for students for extended periods does not work
○ Teachers will need to be ready to receive students at 7:15 am. Teachers' work day will end at 2:50 instead of 3:00
● Master schedule has included additional time at class change for staggered transitions
● Class changes on the hall - teachers to determine the most effective way to transition between classes
● Lunch - 2 teams will eat in the cafeteria; 1 team will eat in their classes
○ Students will eat by homeroom teacher and use a seating chart
○ Rotating schedule to be created by Admin
● Travel on the right side of hall, masks required
● Team Time: 4 locations; one team per location
○ Teachers are to separate into classes at each location
● RA schedule - 40 minute blocks with additional transition time
○ Related arts scheduled by class. Students will remain together and transition as a group
○ Students should have a bathroom break before going to related arts
○ Classroom teachers are to walk students from the first related arts class to the second related arts class
*Food Service is able to accommodate our lunch request. Note: Food will be served to remote learners via back awning at 9:30 each day. (Similar to our summer feeding.)
Screening Students
● Isolation area is in the clinic
● Our school nurse will work extended hours from 7:00-2:50
● Faculty, staff, and students will continue to temp check daily
Testing for Students and Responding to +/- tests
● Health Department to conduct contact tracing
● Health Department to communicate this information with parents
● Follow district and local guidelines
Dining
● Capacity for 150 students (2 teams) split into smaller segments; the remaining team will eat in classroom. See lunch schedule
● Supervision schedule; Students will need their barcodes ready for lunch on the first day of school. Assigned seats for lunch
● Teachers will take an a.m. lunch count in PowerSchool called PowerLunch; subs would have another form of communication. Most elementary schools take a.m. lunch counts so students are used to this procedure
● A lunch cart will be sent to the hall for remaining team that is not in cafeteria
● Food for tardy students: auditorium atrium for tardy bus riders; cafeteria for late cars
Gatherings and Extracurricular Activities
● Postpone intramurals (rotate 5th and 6th when we begin)
● No contact sports
● Clubs - postponed
● PE will need to function as three separate classes
PPE
● Mask requirement: Students required to wear masks all day per district. No mask during PE and outside time
● Paper masks for every child, cleaning supplies for every classroom including paper towels, hand sanitizer, spray bottle (to be filled by custodians daily)
● Plastic face shields and masks available for staff
Busing
● AM: offload one at a time
● PM: controlled dismissal
Visitors
● Parents may not eat lunch with students in the cafeteria
● Only enter during extenuating circumstances
● Pick up, drop off in office
● One parent at a time only
● Must avoid a long tardy lines in the office.
○ No tardies recorded the first week unless the student arrives at school after 8:30 am
○ Students report to class upon arrival and teachers will track tardies
Cleaning
● Teachers routinely clean door knobs
● and desks between classes.
● PE equipment/playground equipment
● PE to address standards without shared equipment, Dr. Wallace
Meet and Greet
● August 26th and 27th
● Teams will meet with one class at a time
○ Meetings will be in 30 minute blocks with 15 minutes between each meeting
○ Three meetings in one evening for each team
