Mission Statement

The purpose of Educare is to provide parents with an after school program where children are supervised in a sound environment. However, Educare is not simply another day care service. This well-rounded program incorporates quality features and upholds high standards, setting it apart from the more common daycare programs. Educare was developed with the intention to extend opportunities for students to learn, socialize, and create. Under the direction of a certified k-8 teacher and instruction of a qualified and well-trained staff, students participate in daily activities that include arts and crafts, fitness, free play, homework support, and technology. Additionally, students receive tutoring and academic intervention each day as needed. Healthy snacks are also provided daily. 

Policies and Fees

The fees for Educare services are to be consistent and will follow the scale provided below:

Every child pays a $10.00 registration fee. This money is non-refundable.

Every child pays a $5.00 application fee. This money is non-refundable.

The hours of the after school program on normal school days are 2:50 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

$8.00/day or $40.00/wk

Additional Child(ren) in same family

5.00/day or $25.00/wk

Children with a copy of fee waiver/ Free or reduced lunch form

$5.00/day or $25.00/wk

Additional child(ren) in same family

$3.00/day or $15.00/wk

Summer Educare

The Summer Educare Program is provided as a service to the parents and students of Johnson City. The major goal of Indian Trail Intermediate Summer Educare is to provide a safe and stimulating environment for students rising in grade levels 4-9. Parents of rising 5th graders may choose between the elementary school Educare or Indian Trail. Rising 4th graders may come to Indian Trail Educare if they are attending summer school during the month of June or if they have an older sibling attending our Educare. Children enrolled as students at Indian Trail or Liberty Bell are not permitted to attend the elementary Educares even with their younger siblings.

Hours

We are open from 7:00 AM until 6:00 PM. Educare closes promptly at 6:00 PM.

Late Pick-up Fee

The Educare Program closes promptly at 6:00. It is very important for you to be prompt in picking up your child.

10 to 15 minutes late - an additional $10.00 fee for each child.

16 to 30 minutes late – an additional $10.00 fee for each child

Excessive late arrivals of parents will result in dismissal of your child from the program.

Registration and Fees

Fee: $35.00 per child (non-refundable)

Full time – first child: $80.00 per week

Full time – additional children in family: $70.00 per week per child

Part time (1-3 days per week): $22.00 per day (no sibling discount)

All fees must be paid in advance for the week. No exceptions are made. You may pay monthly for your convenience. In order for our program to operate efficiently, we cannot allow fees to become past due. We encourage you to pay with checks if possible. Please make sure your child’s name is written on the memo line of the check. All checks should be made to ITIS Educare. If payment must be in cash, please place money in envelope with your child’s name. A set fee is paid whether your child is present or absent. An outstanding bill can result in your child being excluded from the Educare program.
