Welcome to 5th/6th band at Scotts Creek! 

 We are so excited you are here!

5th/6th grade band takes place every day at Scotts Creek.  Students choose to be a part of our ensemble and many are starting their instrument journey from scratch!  

Here are some items students will need to be successful in class every day:

*Their instrument(information about instrument rentals included below)

      -Clarinets and Saxophones will also need a box of size 2 reeds

*"Habits of a Successful Beginning Band Musician" for their instrument(see links below)

*Band Binder with music included(provided by the school)

*Pencil

Students in beginning band are expected to practice Monday-Thursday for 15 minutes at home.  Each week, students will be doing weekly playing check ins to make sure they are practicing.

Instrument Rentals

Students can choose to rent an instrument from the school or may rent one from a local instrumental rental shop.  

Instrumental rentals from the school are limited and are on a first come, first serve basis.  There is a $40 yearly rental fee.  Students who would like to rent from Scotts Creek will need to speak to me(Mrs. Umphlett) directly or they can email me.
