PRACTICUM – GRAPHIC DESIGN &ILLUSTRATION
Following GRAPHIC DESIGN & ILLUSTRATION, Students will explore advanced level possibilities in visual communication, emphasizing real world applications as determined by their portfolio, experience and prerequisite focus. This is in the realm of advanced study and is individualized. Specifics will be agreed upon by student and teacher.

SYLLABUS:
BUSINESS INFORMATION MANAGEMENT
In this course, students implement personal and interpersonal skills to strengthen individual performance in the workplace and in society and make a successful transition to the workforce and postsecondary education. Students apply technical skills to address business applications of emerging technologies, creating word-processing documents, developing a spreadsheet, formulating a database, and making an electronic presentation using appropriate software. (Focus on Microsoft Office applications.)
FURTHER FOCUS ON…
…an advanced level of proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation applications that is expected in the world of business. Lessons are aligned with the content on the Microsoft Office Specialist exams. This certification is globally recognized as the standard for demonstrating mastery of Microsoft Office Suite skills and may be a valuable addition to your credentials for current and future employment. On-site certification assessment is available at all campuses.

SYLLABUS:
GRAPHIC DESIGN & ILLUSTRATION
Graphic Design and Illustration is a project-oriented class that accesses the creative side. The class will learn all aspects of graphic design through advertising and visual arts. Students will explore the use of Adobe software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Premier. It will include topics such as visual composition, design principles, history of visual arts, career opportunities and creating brochures, programs, posters, flyers and magazines. The students will use the computer’s set of tools, digital cameras and scanners to create and edit graphic designs for a wide range of purposes including fine art, art for publications like advertising and journalism. Students in this course are also eligible to work on the yearbook.

DIGITAL ART and ANIMATION
Digital Art and Animation consists of computer images and animations created with digital imaging software. Digital Art and Animation has applications in many careers, including graphic design, advertising, web design, animation, corporate communications, illustration, character development, script writing, storyboarding, directing, producing, inking, project management, editing, and the magazine, television, film, and game industries. Students in this course will produce various real-world projects and animations
