The 2025-2026 school year marks the forty-third year of my career as artist, graphic designer and educator. I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Advertising Graphics from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio in 1982. While attending Miami I competed at the NCAA Division I level in both cross country and track. In the years since I have provided graphic design and illustration services to agencies, corporations, institutions, and as private commissions. My artwork has been featured in magazines and chosen as book cover art. Exhibitions of my work have appeared in venues from coast to coast. Among my many clients are professional athletes and entertainers.
As an educator I have taught in Texas public schools, teaching children from the fifth grade level through high school. I hold Texas teaching certificates in Technology Applications EC - 12, Secondary Art, and All-Level Art. I have also had the pleasure of serving as an adjunct professor in visual communication at community colleges in both Dallas and Austin.
I am honored to begin my third year as a member of the wonderful staff at LBJ High School. I am teaching Business Information Management, Digital Art and Animation, Graphic Design & Illustration, and Yearbook. I bring enthusiasm and passion to the classroom and encourage my students to be creative and thoughtful as they begin a journey of learning about the discipline of visual communication.
