English II

Objective :  English II is a survey course of world literature that includes the study of multiple genres including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and drama.  Additionally, the course offers extensive opportunities for research and written composition.  The course will follow the standards and objectives outlined by the state of Texas in the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills or TEKS.  

Expectations:  English II is an on-level reading and composition course that requires students to read and analyze text as well as write a number of compositions.
