A notable feature of Trakai is that the city was built and preserved by people of different nationalities. Historically, communities of Karaims, Tatars, Lithuanians, Russians, Jews and Poles lived here. So in one city you can taste a variety of cultures and their dishes!
The main walking path in the center: From Kaunas St. of the Archangel Michael's Church (Soboro) along the entire Laisvės avenue which turns into the old town of Kaunas and at the end you reach the Kaunas Town Hall - Kaunas St. the archcathedral basilica of the apostles Peter and Paul.
