We will provide you with what you need.
You will use sketchbooks that are provided as your interactive notebook for this class. This notebook is to be a manual/textbook for my class. All important notes, activities, sketches, diagrams, etc. will be kept and organized in this notebook. It is also an opportunity to teach students how to organize their work. WEEKLY Grades will be taken from these Sketchbooks in the form of weekly drawing prompts.
Homework will be very rare. Typically students will have homework if they need to complete an assignment or project if they have been absent, however students will be given plenty of time in class to complete their work. Students can avoid homework by working steadily and efficiently in class. Reminds concerning art information will be sent out via Talking points , and in Google Classroom.
When working at school in my classroom, I expect students to follow all rules and regulations outlined in the JMS Student Handbook and to be mindful of the following:
1. Have pride in yourself, your work, and your school.
2. Be kind and compassionate to others.
3. Arrive to class on time.
4. Complete and submit all assignments on and with full dedication of EFFORT!
5. Listen and positively participate in class.
6. Keep your cell phones placed away unless you have permission from me to use them for art purposes only.
