Once you have completed the ESL Preparation Academy, please register for the TExEs 154 ESL Supplemental exam. Exam sites can be found here.
The exam fee is $116. Jarrell ISD will reimburse the test fee after you successfully pass the exam and provide the Business Office with a copy of your score report and receipt. Jarrell ISD will reimburse only one passing exam attempt. Participants are responsible for the cost of adding the ESL Supplemental certificate to their teaching record; this fee is non-reimbursable.

Develop a deeper understanding of how TELPAS assesses each language domain. Learn how to intentionally embed language development strategies across content areas to better prepare students for TELPAS success.
Understand the essential components of content and language objectives, including the linguistic supports English learners need to meet lesson expectations. Participants will practice developing aligned objectives that connect standards, lesson goals, and student language needs.
