Jarrell ISD Instructional Materials

All Instructional Materials will be selected using the district process in accordance with Texas State law, Texas Education Agency guidelines, and Jarrell ISD Board Policy. Teachers will be instrumental in the process of review and selection for grade levels/course Instructional Materials in their area(s) of expertise. Parents, students, and community members will be provided multiple opportunities to provide feedback during the selection process. The Board of Trustees shall approve final selections for new instructional materials selected and ratify the district’s certification of instructional materials EF (Local).

Proclamation 2024

The State Board of Education issued Proclamation 2024 in April of 2022 to call for instructional materials related to the following content areas:  K-12 Science, K-8 Technology Applications, High School Personal Financial Literacy & Economics, and multiple CTE courses.


The SBOE is scheduled to adopt materials under Proclamation 2024 this coming November, and these materials will be implemented in classrooms beginning with the 2024–2025 school year.


Jarrell Independent School District operates as a closed district to publishers during the adoption process.  Any publishers should contact only district personnel (Dr. Tiffany Weiss and Kelly Blair) regarding materials under review for Proclamation 2024. Publishers should not contact campus instructional staff.
