Our Mission

To be delivered effectively, a school counseling program must be efficiently and effectively managed. At Double Creek Elementary, our counseling program is defined by our stated vision, mission and beliefs. This focus, along with the utilization of various planning tools, is important in guiding the design and implementation of our program.

VISION STATEMENT

Students will become life-long learners in an environment that is supportive, challenging, and positive.  Students will demonstrate respect for others as well as themselves and obtain a greater understanding and appreciation of our world.

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Double Creek Elementary school counseling program is to provide a comprehensive, developmentally age-appropriate school counseling program that is aligned with the ASCA national standards for school counseling programs.  The program will focus on the education of all students in academic, career, and personal/social development in collaborative partnership with parents/guardians, school staff, and community members.
