Takumi Kato is a Japanese Taiko drummer from Gifu prefecture. At the age of 27 he won a top prize at a prestigious Japanese drum contest. Since then he has spent years performing in Japan and overseas.
After his three children were born Kato found a new level of inspiration seeing their natural playful attraction to Drums. He and his family moved to the U.S in October 2022. They will spend 5 years performing Japanese drumming concerts in 50 states across the country, with a goal of 1000 concerts.

Lachat Town Farm in Weston, CT
Takumi Kato and his family will perform at Lachat Town Farm in Weston at their market on July 26, 5:30-6pm. They will be preceded by Moss (4:30-5:30) and followed by Good Godfrey (6-8pm).
Parking: There is a $20 parking reservation for the Lower Field Parking Lot only at 106 Godfrey Road W. This reservation can be made on the Lachat Town Farm website https://lachattownfarm.org/register.php?eventid=1907. ALL $20 will be returned to you in the form of tokens for you to spend at any of the vendors. Only exception is they can not be used at the Barn Bar. Everyone else, please park at the upper lot (located at 1 Ladder Hill Rd S.) and walk the scenic path to the event (no reservation needed).
