ObiObi group decorating the tree
In December 2025, the JSFC and the ObiObi Japanese craft and volunteer group sponsored a decorated tree to benefit the Greenwich Historical Society / Festival of Tabletop Trees. The theme of the tree was “Japan - America Friendship”, reflecting our main mission tenet to build connection between Japan and the U.S. It was decorated using red, white, and blue with kimono and obi fabrics. Thank you to all the volunteers.
In December 2025, our tree won the award for "Most Artistic" tree! Congratulations to Takako Murai and Miho Hayashi who led the decorating team and to all the ObiObi volunteers.
