Hello! I am so happy to be your child's teacher this year!  I love JA and have been here for 18 years!  2nd Grade is the BEST! I have a dual major in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University with my masters in Literacy from Grand Canyon University. I love learning new teaching strategies and curriculum and I love learning alongside my students!  

I have been married for 29 years to my husband Mark and have 3 wonderful children who attended JA - Sam, 23, Jack, 22, and Paige, 17. I also have a kitty named Greg and a sweet dog named Shelby. I enjoy baking, reading, and going to the mountains.  I look forward to a wonderful year in 2nd Grade!

Hello!  I am Traci Ecks.  I have worked as an EA at Jefferson Academy Elementary for 15 years.

I am a Colorado Native, having been born in Colorado Springs.  I married my high school sweet heart, Chris, and have been married for 30 years this coming October.  We have two children.  Our daughter, Breeana, is 24 and is currently earning her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Creighton University. Our son, Jacob, is a senior at CU Boulder and earning his degree in Aerospace Engineering.

I enjoy baking, decorating and renovating my home and vacationing.  I have been to many places, but I always go back to my favorite place, Walt Disney World.

I am looking forward to getting to know each of you this school year.
