As part of the National Science Foundation-funded NexSTEM Program, our scholars participate in STEM research projects early in their academic careers. Scholars from across the STEM disciplines work individually or in groups on their projects and are mentored by STEM faculty researchers across our three NexSTEM campuses. Through their involvement, scholars gain practical experience conducting and communicating research.

In Fall, 2019, our scholars gave introductory oral presentations about their projects to an audience of family, friends, faculty, and others. The research posters and abstracts below represent the cumulative work completed prior to the impacts of COVID-19. In the videos on this webpage, our scholars highlight key aspects of their respective projects and discuss what about the research process has been most meaningful to them, thus far.
Please join us in congratulating these students! We look forward to the continuation of their research in 2020-21 and to adding to our cohort of NexSTEM scholars.
