The IW Middle School Band is a continuation of the 5th Grade Band curriculum. Here, students continue to learn out of a method book where they learn fundamental concepts for the concert band. They also begin to play standard concert band music for a Christmas Concert and Spring Concert, as well as other performance opportunities as they arise. Middle School Band sets the foundation for things to come at the High School level. 8th Graders have the opportunity to join the High School Marching Raiders and Jazz Band to get a head start on HS band activities.

We use King Music in Bradley, IL for our music supplies. Most things can be purchased online. If your student needs any supplies (reeds, valve oil, slide grease, cork grease, etc.) or other music instruments/accessories, you can either purchase from them directly, or you can talk to Mr. Corbeille about getting what your student needs!
