I went back over this space this week. When I initially made my visit, it was in the 70s and I was on a walk with my daughter. This week it was in the 30s and I was on my own. The first thing I noticed is how incredibly quiet it was. Due to the weather, there were no children outside and no one was walking their dogs. With the lack of other factors, or maybe it was the shift of the senses, the smell coming from Taco Bell seemed stronger. There was the occasional avid Jogger coming through but even that was different. They were obviously dressed for the weather and seemed more focused to get their time in rather than enjoying the moment. Nobody was at the park, and it looked deserted. There were not little squirls running around this time either. It is amazing how much change happens outside while we humans are living on in our heated homes.
