The majority of human services students at the Bloomington region are in one or more of the following programs:
Human Services Social Work TSAP
The social work TSAP is an associate's degree that can be used in the workforce or transferred to another college or university towards a bachelor's degree. An associate's degree is 60 credits and takes students two years to earn if they are enrolled full-time for 15 credits each semester. The social work TSAP is two parts: 30 credits of general education courses and 30 credits of human services courses. Students will complete two semesters of internship their second year in the program.
Human Services Technical Certificate
The human services technical certificate is a 30 credit certificate that can be earned alone or "stacked" (within) an associates degree. Students can earn the human services technical certificate while earning an associates degree in human services or an associates degree in general studies. The technical certificate takes one year to earn if the student is enrolled full-time for 15 credits each semester.
Addiction Studies Certificate
The addiction studies certificate is a 27 credit certificate that can be earned alone or within an associates degree. The addiction studies certificate is 15 credits of foundational human services courses and 12 credits of addiction specific courses.
