I have worked at Ivy Tech Bloomington for over 20 years, first as a Professor of English, then as the Chair of the English Department, and now as the Dean of the School of Arts, Sciences, & Education / Teaching and Learning. I have a PhD (all but dissertation) from Indiana University, a Masters degree in English (also from Indiana University) and a Bachelor's degree in English and German, with a certification in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from Goshen College. I'm on campus ALL the time, so if you want to drop by, feel free to do that. I'm in C119.
On the rare moments that I'm not at work, I'm at home on my hobby farm on the north side of Bloomington, and my companions are my husband (Mark) and our dogs Able and George. Mark and I are empty nesters, which is both strange and wonderful. We have one son who is 26 and a lineman for Delta Energy. My hobbies include dog training, hiking, gardening, and reading.
