Final Year Design Project (Capstone)

Purbachal New Town Project or formerly Purbachal Residential Model Town is the biggest planned township in Bangladesh. The project area consists of about 20 acres land located in between the Shitalakhya and the Balu River at Rupgonj thana of Narayanganj District and at Kaligonj Thana of Gazipur District, in the northeastern side of Dhaka. I had to design a 12 storey residential building based on Purbachal Area. In the following project we had to perform an environmental assessment of the project site such as creating Initial Environment Examination (IEE) report and different facilities planned for the project. Additionally, the structural integrity of the project and the project was analyzed by using appropriate modelling tools such as ETABS and AutoCAD. The project components,planning and sequence of works have been analyzed based on the field of structural engineering. The analysis and design of the project based on the requirements of transportation and geotechnical engineering.

Industrial Training

Industrial Training Program 2021 (27 September - 17 October)

One month long industrial training program to provide hands on experience with the various sectors of the Civil Engineering industry by collaborating with local and government entities. The program includes-

Training on industry Practices of Steel Structural Design.
Training on industry practices of multi-storied R.C.C. building design.
Training on road construction.
Training on quality checking of contractor’s works.
Training on project planning and implementation.
Training on river training.
Training on planning and implementation of development projects.

Industrial Visit to Seven Rings Cement Industry, Kaliganj, Gazipur

Day-long industrial visit (on 8th November 2109) which provided an opportunity to learn practically through interaction, working methods & employment practices.
