What should my student do with missing or late work?

• If a student has missing or late work, it should be turned in promptly. Hard deadlines are enforced when report card deadlines approach.

What if my student is sick or injured?

• Sick: It is important that your child gets well. Please keep children at home until they are healthy! Any missed work can be made up.

  • With that said, please be aware of the amount of time your student is missing and the district's policy on absenteeism.

• Injured: Please let Ms. Zangger know of any necessary accommodations, and they will be met to the best of our ability. If it is a PE day, please send a doctor's note if your student will be unable to participate for more than 2 days.

What happens if my child misses a day of school?

• If your child is absent they will have the amount days missed from school to make up any work. It is the student's responsibility to stay on top of their missed work. It is always more important for a child to be healthy and recover!

  • With that said, please be aware of the amount of time your student is missing and the district's policy on absenteeism.

Standards Based Grading in 4th Grade

• 4 - Standards Exceeded

  • Your student has met or gone beyond the standard

• 3 - Standards Met

  • Your student has met the standard and shown proficiency.

• 2 - Approaching Standards

  • Your student is nearing the standard but shows some understanding

• 1 - Standard Not Met Yet

  • Your student has not shown understanding of the standard yet
