About the teacher

This will be my sixth year teaching 4th grade, but I have worked in IUSD since 2012. I serve in several capacities outside of Solis Park. I am district math mentor and a district equity mentor. I work to create resources and train teachers on best practices in these areas.

Teaching is my absolute passion. I always say if I were to win the lottery tomorrow, I would still be in the classroom teaching. I am sure we will have an amazing year.

My priorities as a teacher are to get to know your student as an individual, to see your student for all the amazing qualities that they possess, and to help your student meet the learning goals that we will set together.

My classroom management starts with relationship building, classroom community, making expectations clear, teaching

expectations, and working with students and guardians to help all students succeed.

I want to make this the best year possible for your student! I aim to work with you, their guardian, as a partner in your student’s success- both academically and socially. I am so excited to be your partner in this endeavor!

I also love supporting students outside of school, please don’t hesitate to invite me to one of your child’s activities/performances.

I grew up in Irvine with my two parents, and older brother. I loved school, and this community. I married my husband, Brandon, in 2016. We have a 2.5 year old, Riley, and one more on the way in October.
