During my time as an ERC at Turtle Rock Elementary School, I teamed up with my co-ERC Joshua Razo to facilitate 4 workshops for parents to learn about various topics of social-emotional learning. We use the IUSD endorsed framework of CASEL 5; Self-Awareness, Social Awareness, Self-Management, Relationship Skills, and Responsible Decision-Making. Our workshops are an opportunity for parents to learn what students are learning in the classrooms during SEL time. Parents also have opportunities to put resources together to build congruence with the school's teachings and continue to teach at home.
Bonita Canyon Workshops TBD.
