I have more than 18 years of teaching and research. My research interests include Semantic Web and Ontology Engineering with focus on Arabic related issues, Parallel and Distributed Computing with focus on Cloud Computing, Big Data and Web Services. I have supervised and evaluated a number of thesis researches in areas and topics related to Web Services, Semantic Web, Parallel Computing, Cloud Computing, and Information Retrieval. I have published several publications related to these topics and areas (Please, see my research portfolio and CV for more details). I am a referee in a number of scientific journals in the above research areas. Also, I am a member and organizer of several scientific, academic and social committees, conferences and workshops.

I have jointly prepared, acquired and carried-out several projects related to scientific research, curriculum development and social issues. Some of these projects include FreeSoft (World Bank funded project), MetaExtractor (Swiss and UNDP funded project), and In-Country Scholarship Program in the Palestinian Territories (DAAD funded project). I have worked as a dean of the Faculty of Information Technology at IUG for 4 years (2015-2019), vice dean of the faculty for 4 years (2011-2015), head of the Software Development Department in the same faculty for 4 years (2007-2011).
