Gettysburg Homeless Shelters and Services - Provides a list of homeless shelters and services for the needy. Many shelters also provide services such as alcohol and drug rehab treatment along with clinics. I try to provide as much information as possible on my details pages.

SCCAP - Homeless Services - Shelters are the first line of defense for a family who meets the McKinney-Vento Definition of Homelessness. People coming to the shelter are there for a brief amount of time with all of their focus on getting permanently housed. Once the individual or family is housed, we will continue to work with them to find appropriate supports or employment to help them maintain permanent housing.
Adams County Rescue Mission and Agape House - The Adams Rescue Mission's Men's shelter is not just to house the homeless. The men are taught life skills based on the Word of God. These men are given another chance at life through the practical application of the skills taught on our program. Here at the mission, we do not simply recycle cardboard, glass, and plastic, but more importantly, we recycle lives.
The Agape House is a Christian Shelter that has ten self-contained, furnished apartments. They are both one and two bedroom units with a kitchen, dining area, bathroom, and living room. We have added bunk beds and a sofa bed to accommodate larger families. The Agape house is more than a shelter for the homeless. We have designed a program that provides opportunities for displaced women and families to become integrated into the community.
