Messiah University Graduate Program in Education

Messiah University offers a flexible Graduate Program in Education designed to fit the schedule of busy teachers. Our program includes a variety of M.Ed. degree tracks and non-degree options in high-demand fields. Most of our graduate-level education courses are online and PDE-approved for Act 48 credit.

M.Ed. Options: Graduate students can earn an M.Ed. with a focus on curriculum and instruction; special education; teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL); teaching language and content; and online instruction. The completion of the program ranges from two to six years.

Non-degree Options: The Graduate Program in Education offers non-degree graduate certificates and PDE endorsements/certifications, including initial teacher certification. Areas of focus include teacher leadership, TESOL, online instruction, special education, STEM, social-emotional and behavioral wellness, and English as a second language. Some certificates can be completed in less than a year.

CAIU Tuition Discount: CAIU employees and employees of member districts receive a 30% tuition discount in special education, SEBW, and TESOL programs.
