Intermediate Unit 1: “It is a regional educational agency that strives to provide educational support to the students, parents, educators, school administrators, and the communities throughout southwestern Pennsylvania.”

Pennsylvania Training and Technical Assistance Network (PaTTAN): “Working with the Bureau of Special Education (BSE), Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE), PaTTAN provides a full array of professional development and technical assistance targeted to improving student results. This professional development and technical assistance takes many forms in order to meet the varied needs of PaTTAN’s constituents. Week-long summer institutes, ongoing professional development series, webinars, on-site assistance, and individual student or teacher supports are some of the means by which PaTTAN provides support to schools.”

Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR): “The Pennsylvania Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, or OVR, provides vocational rehabilitation services to help persons with disabilities prepare for, obtain, or maintain employment.”

PA CareerLink: “Launched in July, 2012, PA CareerLink® is part of the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry’s initiative to transform the landscape of how job-seekers find family sustaining jobs and how employers find the skilled candidates that they need. Through this initiative, a user-friendly, premiere job-matching system has been created to help bridge the gap that currently exists between job-seekers and employers.”

Transitional Employment Consultants (TEC): “The mission of Transitional Employment Consultants is to assist individuals with disabilities to become independent, productive members of the community by providing job readiness training and placement into competitive employment.”

Transitional Paths to Independent Living (TRPIL): “Transitional Paths to Independent Living (TRPIL) is a membership based Center for Independent Living operated by the local community of people with disabilities. We bring together individuals who face common barriers. Our Programs include Peer Support, Home Care and Nursing Home Transition, Youth Programs, Advocacy, and Information on equal access, assistive technology, education, employment, housing, and transportation. Through our affiliate TRPIL Community Services, we provide Medicaid based Home and Community Based Services. Become a Member and a Supporter.”

Goodwill Industries: “Goodwill® is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that strives to enhance the dignity and quality of life of individuals and families by helping people reach their full potential through education, skills training and the power of work.”

Southwest Training Services Inc.: “At Southwest Training Services, Inc. our mission is to help employers and job seekers make informed employment and training choices. We serve Washington and Greene counties in Southwestern Pennsylvania.”

Arc Human Services: “The Arc promotes and protects the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and actively supports their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes.”

AHEDD: “AHEDD is a private, non-profit organization that provides employment services for people with disabilities. We pursue community employment as the preferred means to promote community integration and independence. With a rich history of over 35 years, our commitment and purpose has never changed, it has only strengthened.”

Job Corps: “Job Corps is a no-cost education and career technical training program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor that helps young people ages 16 to 24 improve the quality of their lives through career technical and academic training.”
