Lending Library Reservation/Loan Updates

The IU1 Lending Library is OPEN! Make sure to check out our new items and
the updated loaning and sanitization procedures. 

The IU1 Lending Library is full of endless possibilities for educators and students alike! Educators can borrow current digital and technical tools to use within their classroom, from robotics to screen printing. Add innovation, creativity, and programming into your current curriculum and check out what all IU1 has to offer! 

Lending Library materials and resources are available to be loaned out to school districts for a maximum of FOUR (4) WEEKS or 26 DAYS.  Requests will be granted on a first come first serve basis. We do ask that you try to give at least a four week notice to allow for pick-up/delivery of items. To loan out Lending Library Materials educators must attend a brief 15 minute zoom on the desired item to ensure care and procedurial information is understood.

BEE BOT ROBOT

Grade Level: Pre - K - 5

Bee-Bot (with Bluetooth connection) lets you program the robot from a tablet or PC as well as with the on-board keys. Use the command keys on its back to send Blue-Bot forward and back, left and right and teach sequencing, directionality, problem-solving, counting, and estimation. Take Blue-Bot to the next level by controlling it remotely with the Tactile Reader or the free app on iPads or Android tablets Windows or Mac PCs.

BOTLEY ROBOT

Grade Level: 2 - 5

Botley helps students learn early STEM skills while playing and having fun. He teaches students to code with active, screen-free play that's perfect for promoting critical thinking and problem solving skills. Smart logic gives Botley the ability to detect objects in front of him and avoid them. He can also follow looping commands, take on obstacle courses, and follow black-line paths. Botley features completely screen-free coding: no phone or tablet required.

BREAKOUT EDU KITS

Grade Level: K - 12

The Breakout EDU kits bring the four C's alive! All Breakout EDU games require critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication. Kits offer a unique collection of resettable locks, boxes, and items that can be used to play immersive games, which span over 700 academic topics. Teachers and students can also build their own content aligned games.

CUBELETS

Grade Level: PreK - 12th

Cubelets use Tactile Coding to help builders of nearly any age explore robotics, coding, and more. Uniquely designed, they are little bundles of software inside little bundles of hardware. As you build a robot, you learn to build a program. More than just coding; Cubelets help teach foundational behaviors like problem-solving, persistence, and communication while building robots!

CUE ROBOT

Grade Level: 5th - 8th

Cue robot is designed for students who have an love of coding! Cue will help them transition from block-based code to state-machine and text-based programming. Cue’s motors and sensors work together seamlessly to provide accurate and versatile behavior while reacting in real time to its surroundings, inspiring kids to build problem-solving skills through coding, engineering, and design.

DASH & DOT ROBOTS

Grade Level: K - 5

Dash and Dot are clever robots with multiple sensors that responds to voice, navigates objects, dances, and sings. Dash and Dot can be programed with free apps including Wonder, Blockly, Path, Go, and other apps to create new behaviors. Students will learn about robotics and develop fundamental coding and problem-solving skills while having fun.

EDISON ROBOT

Grade Level: K - 8

Works with LEGO bricks and can be controlled and programmed in three ways: special barcodes that activate pre-programmed functions; driving commands from standard TV or DVD remote controls; and can be programmed from a computer or tablet using EdBlocks, EdWare or EdPy. Edison is an interactive and engaging robot that teaches the basics of robotics and programming.

EV3 LEGO MINDSTORM

Grade Level: 5th - 12th

LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 gives you the power to create and command your own robotic LEGO creatures, vehicles, machines and inventions! By combining LEGO elements with a programmable brick, motors and sensors, you can make your creations walk, talk, grab, think, shoot and do almost anything you can imagine!

FINCH 2.0 ROBOT

Grade Level: K - 12

The Finch is a robot designed to inspire and delight students learning computer science from Kindergarten to college. Program in software languages like Scratch, Python, and Java and can be used with beginners or advanced programmers! Works with Chromebook, Windows, and Mac systems.

HAPPY ATOMS

Grade Level: 9th - 12th

The physical and digital teaching tool that lets you discover the world of molecules in an intuitive, hands-on way. Create molecules from plastic atom models that connect easily using magnets. Discover the identities of the molecules you build by scanning them with the app. Explore the molecules you discover, assemble collections of them, and complete guided chemistry tasks in the educational app.

HUMMINGBIRD ROBOTICS KITS

Grade Level: 3rd - 12th

Hummingbird is designed to enable engineering and robotics activities that involve the making of robots, kinetic sculptures, and animatronics built from familiar materials. Combined with very easy-to-use software like Scratch, Snap!, the CREATE Lab Visual Programmer, and Ardublock. Hummingbird continues to provide new challenges by allowing programming in the Arduino environment, Python, Java, and Processing, and supports Raspberry Pi.

LITTLE BITS

Grade Level: 2nd - 8th

Easy-to-use electronic building blocks that empower students to create inventions, large and small. The kits are composed of electronic building blocks that are color-coded, magnetic, and make complex technology simple and fun. They’re interchangeable in millions of different ways allowing students to invent anything - from a wireless robot, to a digital instrument, and more.

MAKE DO KITS

Grade Level: 2nd - 12th

Makedo is a cardboard construction system for 21st century thinking, making and play. Makedo can span ALL learning areas and aligns perfectly with STEAM curriculum. Makedo is great for independent learning and collaborative projects and develops problem solving skills. Makedo is scalable and can be used individually, with a group or even a whole school setting.

MAKEY MAKEY

Grade Level: 2nd - 12th

Makey Makey is an invention kit for the 21st century. Students can turn everyday objects into touch pads and combine them with the digital technologies. It's a simple Invention Kit for beginners and experts doing art, engineering, and everything in-between. The kit will include: Makey Makey, Alligator Clips, USB Cable.

Microbit

Grade Level: 3rd - 12th

The BBC micro:bit is a physical computing device that provides a bridge between abstract concepts and tangible experiences. Develop fluency in concepts and languages of computer systems and foster digital creativity in your classroom. Students make the connections between abstract ideas and real world outcomes by working with software and hardware together: designing, building, prototyping, iterating.

OSMO EXPLORER KIT

Grade Level: K-3

The Explorer Kit comes with everything you need to play Numbers, Words, Tangram, Coding Awbie, and Monster. For the ultimate Newton and Masterpiece experiences, this kit also includes a dry-erase creative board and markers specially selected to best utilize Osmo technology, along with a fuzzy pouch that doubles as an eraser.

OZOBOTS - BIT & Evo

Grade Level: 1st - 12th

Bit & Evo get students coding and loving robots through customized coding with colors or advanced OzoBlockly online programming. Start coding screen-free with the Activity pack by using markers to create color codes to code Bit or Evo and run your program. Advance with OzoBlockly and program Evo's or Bit’s movements, speed, and LED light.  Evo's or Bit's programmable features include optical sensors, and LED lights.

PUZZLETS

Grade Level: K - 5th

Learn STEM skills while having fun! Puzzlets is a hands-on learning game system for thinking. Puzzlets combines hands-on play with interactive gaming to form one seamless experience, that engages the mind and teaches the player new ways of thinking. Easy and fun electronics learning! Follow the provided diagrams or build your own exciting projects, such as FM radios, digital voice recorders, AM radios, burglar alarms, doorbells, and much more!  All parts are mounted on plastic modules and snap together with ease. Students can enjoy hours of educational fun while learning about electronics. No tools required. Uses AA batteries.

SPHERO ROBOT

Grade Level: K - 12

TELLO DRONE

Grade Level: 6 - 12

Take off and experience the world from exciting new perspectives. Tello has two antennas that make video transmission extra stable and a high-capacity battery that offers impressively long flight times. Students can you can perform awesome tricks and with just a tap on screen. Equipped with a high-quality image processor, Tello shoots incredible photos and videos. Tello Edu is a mobile programming app that supports Scratch. Students can command Tello to perform corresponding movements by dragging coding blocks on their smart mobile device.
