For the I-Am statement, I talked about myself as who I am in cultural identity and also mentioned where I am originally from. I also talked about my aspirations and honors goals for this semester and mentioned my hobbies.
For the I want to become " statement, it reiterates the previous I-Am statement and reflects upon the goals I had. However, it has more details about my honors goals. Also, it mentioned one difficulty I had in managing a lot of goals which meant that I could only focus on a couple of goals at a time. Another issue I had was the issue of time, so for that statement, I said I want to be someone who can manage time more effectively.
For the statements, I believe that it was important as they clearly outlined my goals and ideas for this semester, so it became easier to follow. The I-Am statement allowed me to see what I needed to accomplish. The I-want-to-become statement served as a reflection of the I-Am statement, looked at the difficulties, and then realized I needed to change to accomplish a specific goal. My growth was reflected in the I want-to-become statement as I outlined what went wrong and what I needed to do for the future.
