Introduction
I am in my second year of school at Indiana University, Purdue University Indianapolis. My major is Psychology Bachelor in Science with minors in Health Communication and Medical Humanities. I intend to go to graduate school for a Doctorate Occupational Therapy. With the goal to work as a pediatric occupational therapist.
I was a Committee member for jagathon, and one of the pink color team leaders. We lead a group of participants throughout the dance marathon night.
My committee position was on morale. This was from the morale dance that we created throughout the year, and then taught to the participants who came to the event.
I work seasonally as a sales assosiates for the local shoe store in my hometown.

Alpha Lambda Delta Phi Eta Sigma
This is induction night into the honors society, where we participated in a ceremony to receive our pins and certification of entrance.
I attened PMOA (phi mu officer academy) as IUPUI's New Member educator. I listened to important speakers and learned how to best do my position.
Through each of these activities I have learned about dealing with time management, holding responsibility, developing independence, and improving my communication skills. I believe I have grown the most in my communications skills, by giving my opinion and asking questions when I'm inquiring. I used to stay in my comfort-zone and try to speak as little as possible, but through these jobs/ volunteer/ extra- circulars I have learned to communicate my thoughts. One thing I still struggle with is independence within my work. I tend to want exact direction before working on a project to ensure I know how to do it without fault. I need to learn to trust that I know how to complete my work, while asking questions when necessary.
Team Work
Being a Team partner means listening to the other members and asking questions, to ensure you're learning the most information from the group. Every single person in my lab consistently has amazing thoughts and opinions, getting to be part of meetings where I get to hear these thoughts makes being a team member fascinating. My biggest strength within a team is being able to stay organized. When there are multiple heads coming together to solve a problem/ work on a project it is important to be organized. I ensure to follow a strict schedule to complete the needed tasks, and maintain organization throughout. I believe I have grown this skill even more through my time in LHSI, because when given multiple tasks to complete I am able to finish them efficiently.
