Fracture Fixture

The fracture fixture was designed and printed for a mechanics class. The project required designing a prototype for a fracture fixture in Creo. The prototype was analyzed in ANSYS and the analysis highlighted the faults in the fixture which were then used to improve the prototype. The improvements were conducted three times and eventually, the prototype was 3D printed, mechanically tested, and analyzed using a code written in MATLAB.

"DRIKE"

This project was a requirement for an NSF scholarship. The objective of this project was to redesign something, using 2 everyday objects." My group and I decided to build a prototype for a drill-powered electric bike using a drill as the power source. There were many trial runs, but eventually, the bike was powered. There were some issues with the throttle and the brake line so, if we were to redo the project we already have improvements we could make.

Solar Car

This solar car was designed for Engr 196. The purpose of this project was to practice circuit analysis and understand the concept of solar power. Initially, a kit was used to build a prototype for an electric car. The prototype design was then translated into Creo where the car was enhanced and then 3D printed. Attached to the car was a single solar panel that powered the motor. Rubber bands were used as pulleys and were attached to the back wheels. The car performed relatively well compared to the class model and the kit.
