Hello! My name is Roxy, and I am a May 2026 Indiana University Indianapolis Honors graduate with a major in Nursing and a certificate in Health Administration. After earning my Bachelor of Science in Nursing and becoming registered nurse, my goal is to provide patient-centered, evidence-based care while being the voice and advocate for others I serve.
Throughout my undergraduate journey, I have had the privilege of serving my community on various levels. From the Student Nurses' Association to Honors Peer Mentoring Programs, I have flourished by developing my leadership abilities, building connections, and working collaboratively with diverse teams. These experiences have reinforced my passion for nursing and deepened my dedication to making a positive difference in the health of others.
In the future, I aspire to become certified in critical care or operating room nursing, precept new nurses, and actively participate in research and unit-based projects. Furthermore, I plan to pursue further education to continue growing in, contributing to, and leading my profession.
I am a dedicated and resilient individual excited to provide compassionate care and contribute to global health. Following graduation, I will be working as a registered nurse at a local hospital within the Indiana University Health system. I am originally from Indianapolis, Indiana.
2023 I Am Statement...
I am a motivated individual with aspirations of making a difference in the world throughout the honors and nursing programs and beyond. I consistently try to put my best foot forward and rebound when facing challenges, while seeing value in the difficulties. I am open-minded and empathetic regarding the viewpoints of others. I find fulfillment in making an impact in the lives of other individuals and contributing to positive change around the globe.
2023 I Want to Become Statement...
I want to become a citizen who makes an impactful difference in the world in the nursing program, honors program, and in my future professional life.
I hope to go above and beyond with honors projects, research, and extracurriculars as well as studying abroad eventually. This ties into completing my health administration minor so that I will have more insight into the healthcare system as a whole and become a better nurse.
All in all, I would like to connect my past experiences with my future and grow from my education. Although some experiences can be difficult, I strive to always keep in mind that they are growth opportunities.
