Hello

I am Ransome Adeyeye and I am a Sophomore at IUPUI

Working on my maor in Neuroscience and a minor in Biology and Chemistry. 

Teamwork

The strengths that I bring as a team member are communication, collaboration, and attention. As a team member, good communication is essential for the success of any project which means I am going to be asking reasonable questions while giving my ideas in a polite manner. This leads me to my collaborative skill because if I can communicate effectively with my colleagues on a task, everyone will know what is expected of them to do and because I always pay attention to other contributions, my colleagues will be appreciative of their ideas being taken into consideration, thereby fostering a friendly work place.

My experience that taught me about team work were when we had to come up with rules against fentanyl overdose and the found ways have to relate to each other, even though we are doing it separately. Team work made us complete our findings while maintaining all the requirements.

My previous experience have taught me that working in a team is a way of getting jobs done in perfection, especially when everyone is very dedicated to the task they are given. This creates trust between the members of the group and makes work goes smoothly without having doubts about the work another member is doing because you believe they are going to turn in their very best work every time.

All through the spring semester as an intern, I was the only team member under my supervisor, so I handled most of the tasks independently and this made me grow exponentially in working independently, while also knowing the right time to ask for help.

My Experiences and Skills

My experience to date regarding  vocations I have done that feels important to me have been great. I was able to meet people like ex- olympians, Doctors from my field of study, and lots other. They also shared with me ways I could stand out and be better as a person and as I'm working to also become a professional. Some skills I have gained through the different ophelpingportunities are communication skills, problem solving skills and creativity skills. I improved on my communication, problem solving, and creativity skills by working with my colleagues on flyers with safety precautions for a department at FedEx when the accidents being reported were becoming high causing the department to not be able to be highly productive. I volunteered at an elementary school to teach the kids how to eat healthy and the healthy choices of food there are, thus helping them make healthy choices especially in things they can control like the food they eat.
