As a management major and political science minor, I aim to attend law school and pursue a career in law, focusing on corporate or public interest law. I’m currently interning at Free Wheeling for my SIP internship, gaining valuable experience.
I’m passionate about both business and law and believe a legal career will allow me to combine these interests. My internship helped reinforce my desire to work in business, which helped me understand the inner workings of a non-profit.
I’m confident in this path, as I’ve researched the field, sought advice, and gained hands-on experience through my internship. I’m excited about the challenges and opportunities law school offers.
I will maintain a strong academic record, and prepare for the LSAT to strengthen my law school application
I will attend school events, network with professionals, and shadow legal experts to gain a deeper understanding of the field.
My professional identity is built on values of integrity, collaboration, and continuous learning. I am passionate about making a positive impact, and my skills in communication, market analysis, and strategic thinking reflect this. These qualities complement my internship at Free Wheeling, where I manage product listings and marketing strategies, allowing me to develop valuable skills for law school. The internship challenges me to adapt to a fast-paced environment and think critically about improving processes. Knowing my professional identity has reinforced my career goal to pursue law, helping me realize how combining law and business is the right fit. It has also guided me in exploring industries where I can apply my passions and skills effectively.
My academic background in management and political science directly connects to my internship work at Free Wheeling by providing a strong foundation in business concepts, strategy, and problem-solving. Courses in marketing, communication, and organizational behavior have helped me effectively manage product listings, develop promotional strategies, and collaborate with teams. My understanding of market analysis, gained through both my classes and my political science studies, has been particularly useful in evaluating data and making strategic recommendations for the company. Additionally, the critical thinking and research skills honed through my coursework have enabled me to approach tasks at my internship with a more analytical mindset. Conversely, my internship also supports my academics by offering real-world experiences that reinforce theoretical knowledge, particularly in marketing and strategic decision-making. The hands-on nature of my internship allows me to apply classroom concepts in a practical setting, making my academic learning more relevant and impactful.
