Even as the only intern, I feel like a true part of the team because my ideas are valued, and I’m actively involved in discussions about strategy and next steps. There’s a refreshing balance between independence and support—everyone manages their own responsibilities, yet there's always open communication and encouragement. I meet with my supervisor weekly over Zoom and at least once a month in person to brainstorm, plan, and check in on progress. What surprised me most is how much trust everyone has in each other; there’s no micromanaging, just confidence that each person will deliver. While I typically prefer more structured teamwork, this experience has shown me the power of autonomy when paired with strong communication, and I’ve come to appreciate how seamlessly everything comes together.
