Why science?
I've always loved science throughout school and enjoyed learning it, which is why I continue to do it in college. I fell in love with the research side of things after gaining some experience and realize I wanted to pursue a Ph.D. in biomedical sciences. I wanted to help others by unmasking my own discoveries and creating new treatments for people out there will illnesses. I think this will be a challenging task but I'm excited to begin this long journey!
Efficient | Organized | Driven
I believe these three skills are my most valuable assets to a team. I oftentimes involve myself in many activities, this has allowed me me to build my time management skills to ensure my responsibilities are executed on time and with high quality work. Along with this comes heaps of organization to keep track of everything to make things more efficient. I am passionate about the work I do an have the desire to learn more and create new things.
My previous experiences have given me the opportunity to work with a wide range of people. Working in these different environments gives me a bit of an idea of what I like and don't like in a teammate. I personally have learned that it's better to focus on yourself and what you're doing first. This seems a bit backward if you're considering a team but being part of a team means other people rely on you and if you can't complete your job properly then the rest of the team will go under. My second thought is always, how can I help other people get to where they want to be. This is essential when trying to build not only a solid team but also successful individuals.
Pharmacy Tech | PCP
Lab Assistant
These are some of my most recent positions and relate more to my current goals. Over my time, I've work in things ranging from fast food to beside care in a hospital. These have different goals but I found a lot of similarities and applicable skills that I held by me and continue to apply what I'm doing now.
