After completing my SIP internship at Listen to Our Future, I plan to stay connected with the organization if opportunities arise to continue supporting their mission, especially in areas like DEI and healthcare leadership. I’ve really enjoyed working on tasks related to calendar management and communications, and I’d love to keep using those skills in similar roles.
I am also looking into securing another internship—ideally one that blends finance, healthcare administration, and technology. I'm especially interested in roles that allow me to deepen my experience in hospital finance or project management while continuing to grow professionally in inclusive healthcare settings.
Continue checking in with my SIP supervisor and mentors to see if there are ongoing opportunities or projects where I can still be of help.
Apply for summer or fall internships that focus on healthcare finance, accounting, or hospital administration. I'm already looking into positions like the Tax and Accounting Internship at A Total Solution CPA and the Finance Internship at Indiana Black Expo.
Keep building my skills in communication, Excel, and data analysis; especially in healthcare contexts.
Meet with my academic advisor to plan courses that align with my long-term goal of becoming a Chief Information Officer in a hospital setting.
These steps are helping me stay focused and intentional about my growth. I may not have everything figured out yet, but I know I want to be part of building better, more equitable healthcare systems; and I’m going to keep working toward that goal, one step at a time.
