Hello, my name is Dema Amro. I'm doing a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a minor in Public Health while working on the pre-med path. I want to take the skills and experiences from undergrad to medical school where I plan to specialize in family medicine. I am interning at The Komen Tissue Bank with Mrs. Alison Hughes, where the breast tissue is studied and analyzed to find a cure for breast cancer. This tissue bank is one of a kind because it's the only bank that has normal breast tissue.

Throughout this portfolio, I will be documenting my journey through university and my internship. I am using this site to demonstrate the skills I have used, improved, and mastered. In addition, this site allows me to exhibit my character and personality through the different roads I take in my academic career. These experiences will be taken with me to share my talents with the community as I work to become a physician. The path is never easy, but the learning experience can take you a long way.
