The storytelling skills I developed through my Honors contract and minor in Creative Writing have become foundational to how I approach the world of business. As I’ve grown professionally, I’ve discovered that my new medium isn’t pen and paper—it’s data.
Through I-Core, my internship at Scale Computing, and my upcoming MSIS degree, I’ve learned to use data and technology to inform, persuade, and reveal truth, just as a good story does. What once started as a passion for words has evolved into a passion for insight.
This page showcases how I’m carrying my love of narrative into the world of business by mastering the tools that make today’s most powerful stories possible, and traces the progress of learning this new medium: from I-Core as the starting point, to Scale Computing as the present application, and MSIS as the next step in becoming even better.
I-Core is an intensive, team-based program where students solve real business problems through integrated coursework in marketing, finance, and operations.
During my undergraduate studies, I began exploring the intersection of technology and business, especially through my work with I-CORE, where I delved into artificial intelligence and its transformative potential. This early exposure ignited my passion for leveraging tech to drive business innovation.
Scale Computing is a tech company specializing in hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) that simplifies IT operations by combining storage, servers, and virtualization into one platform.
Today, I’m deepening that expertise as I intern under the VP of Marketing at Scale Computing, working with cutting-edge IT infrastructure focused on hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) and edge computing. In this role, I’m not only applying technical knowledge; I’m becoming a storyteller in business. The medium I have chosen to tell these stories is technology itself, demonstrating how digital innovations can be woven into compelling narratives that drive strategic insights.
MSIS (Master of Science in Information Systems) is a graduate program that blends business strategy with advanced technology, preparing students to solve complex problems using data, systems, and innovation.
Looking ahead, I will pursue a Master of Science in Information Systems at Indiana University. This advanced degree will further refine my understanding of how technology shapes business landscapes, equipping me with the skills to become an indispensable resource for future employers. Together, these experiences, from my initial academic curiosity with I-CORE, through my real-world application at Scale Computing, to my ongoing graduate studies, form a cohesive narrative that underscores my commitment to innovating at the nexus of technology and business while mastering the art of storytelling.
