I pride myself on my ability to learn efficiently and effectively, my flexibility, and my commitment to any and all projects that I work on. Through my dedication to my theatre community, I earned an Excellent Award at the Indiana State Thespian Competition for my work on my high school's fall play, The Rose and the Rime, and earned the title of national Thespian.
I enrolled at IUPUI in order to strengthen my skills and to gain experience in the world. I want to expand my knowledge in the fields that I have deep interest in, so that I may earn a job as a forensic anthropologist. Beyond my experiences in college, I hope to gain more understanding of the world that I live in and to find some answers to questions that I have not been able to answer about my life.

I try to read book when I can as a busy undergrad. Recently, I've been finishing a course book that I got last semester! I highly recommend it if you like analysing poetry or though-provoking stories.
Book: The Doctor Stories by William Carlos Williams
Recently, I have attended and presented at the Midwest Medical Humanities Student Conference in Indianapolis. At the conference, I presented a paper that I wrote about the impact that HIV/AIDS has had on the LGBTQ+ community. My paper speaks to the response and ramifications to the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the 1980's and works to analyse how those processes have continued to impact minority communities like the LGBTQ+ community until present day. This paper was written and researched during my Medical Humanities course at IUPUI. Doing the research for this paper and being an observer of the HIV/AIDS community has been enlightening, and I have found my passion for community outreach and engagement to be reinvigorated.
If you would like to read the paper, it is available here!
