Vinod Tiwari, PhD

Associate Professor

Dr. Tiwari is currently supervising the Neuroscience & Pain Research Laboratory at the Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering and Technology, Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi, India. His research is focused on dissecting the neurobiology of chronic pain and developing potential translational therapies for the management of neuropathic pain, a critical burdensome disorder worldwide. He is currently looking for interdisciplinary broad areas where he can use the mode of research and concepts from multiple disciplines to advance a fundamental understanding of the problems whose solutions are beyond the scope of a single discipline. His long-term future plans are to diligently pursue a career in teaching and research where he can apply scientific knowledge into practice for the betterment of mankind and to transfer knowledge to the next generation in order to create future entrepreneurs and scientists.
