Additional info about Dear Evan Hansen
By Val Emmich, Steven Levenson, Benj Pasek, and Justin Paul
This poignant coming-of-age story delves deeply into themes of mental health, grief, loneliness, and the universal desire to be seen and understood. Through the main character, Evan’s flawed yet heartfelt journey, Dear Evan Hansen explores the power of connection and the consequences of seeking belonging through untruths. It reminds us, as readers, that vulnerability is a strength and that even in our darkest moments, we are not alone.
Dear Colleagues of SGIS,
We are delighted to invite you and your students to the 7th Annual SGIS Pride Educators Conference, hosted by International School Lausanne in collaboration with the SGIS Pride Educators Group. This year’s conference will take place on Wednesday 21 May at our campus in Le Mont sur Lausanne.
Building on the success of previous years, this student-led event creates a space for dialogue, learning, and celebration of LGBTQ+ identities in Swiss international schools. Our 2025 theme, ‘Storytelling’, will be explored through a keynote speech by Leon Salin, guest speaker Bea Knecht, student panels, and interactive workshops.
The conference is open to middle and high school students (ages 11+) and educators who are passionate about fostering inclusivity in their school communities. High school students are also invited to apply to be panellists.
Event Details:
Date: Wednesday 21 May 2025
Time: 10:00-15:00 (Registration and pre-conference mixer at 9:00)
