P1 Class Responsibilities

P1 student pharmacists are responsible for planning the annual Adopt-a-Family fundraiser, participating in Pharmacy Fair, and assisting in cleaning the student lounge.

Adopt a Family:  AAF is a rite of passage for P1 student pharmacists, required by the Student Senate.  Each year the P1 student pharmacists are responsible for raising money to sponsor a family for the holidays. Student pharmacists have traditionally sold t-shirts to raise money to sponsor one or more families.  This is a big project, so be thinking of ideas now.  Any questions can be directed to the Student Senate.

Pharmacy Fair:  Pharmacy Fair is a chance for student pharmacists to interview and network with potential employers, meet student pharmacists from other campuses, and raise money.  As a P1 student pharmacist, you will be required to attend Pharmacy Fair and volunteer during the fair in your state.  Pharmacy Fair is held in Meridian, Idaho, and in Anchorage, Alaska.  Pocatello student pharmacists are required to travel to the fair in Meridian.  Please add Pharmacy Fair to your calendar now!  You are also encouraged to participate in Pharmacy Fair planning; meetings are held every week in the P1 classroom, and details will be provided after classes begin.

Lounge Cleaning:  All students are expected to keep their campus lounge tidy.  Each month a different class will keep an eye on the lounge.  More information will come from the Student Senate.

Additional Information:  You will receive additional information regarding the yearly assessment exam, town hall meetings, and other fun student activities.
