Born and raised in Idaho, I attended Idaho State University to study secondary education, seeking certifications in English, biology, and social studies. I received my bachelor's degree in 2021, and I shortly thereafter became an English Language Arts teacher at Hawthorne Middle School in Pocatello.
Two years later, thanks to an education partnership between Idaho State University and Pocatello/Chubbuck School District #25, I was given the opportunity to pursue my goal of furthering my education. I noticed the wealth of opportunities offered by the field of Instructional Design and committed to the study and exploration of the world of instructional design and technology.
Over time, my interest in instructional design has grown into a passion for creating effective and engaging instruction. I have an appreciation for the art of storytelling, and I see parallels between the creation of a powerful story and the construction of engaging instruction in order to teach lessons and build engagement. I seek to exercise my creative writing skills when opportunity permits.
