My current research centers on compressor systems for a Westinghouse J34 jet engine. I develop mathematical models, experimental validation techniques, and adaptive control algorithms to enhance compressor performance and system stability. This work contributes to advancing turbomachinery efficiency, predictive maintenance, and modern propulsion technologies.
Turbomachinery and compressor system modeling
Adaptive and model-based control
Thermodynamic systems and heat transfer
Fluid dynamics and aerodynamics
Experimental methods and system identification
I have served as Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigator on several externally funded projects, including:
NASA Idaho Space Grant Consortium (2019–2025): High-powered rocketry and CubeSat development
Avista Corporation (2020–2021): Predictive maintenance system design using sensor data
My collaborations integrate computational modeling, hands-on experimentation, and education to advance aerospace and energy research while providing meaningful research experiences for students.
