Greetings! Gavin McFarlin here and I teach Sports Marketing I & II Honors at Lake Norman High. Prior to joining the teaching world at Lake Norman, I was in college athletics for 20 years in media relations at Ashland University, University of Pacific and Davidson College. I ate, breathed and lived in the sports world, which now allows me to be able to share the first-hand, real-world experiences and knowledge I gained with the students in showing them how the sports marketing industry works. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my wife, daughter and son. Orginially from Ashland, Ohio, I'm a long-time fan of the Cleveland Cavs, Cincinnati Reds and Cincinnati Bengals, while some of my favorite hobbies are playing tennis and continuing my long time collecting of sports cards, which are great marketing tools!
