What technical skills do students acquire on this course?
You learn how to take measurements of current, voltage, resistance and power in direct current. Furthermore you learn how to make simple electrical systems and simple automations.

What do students learn on this course?
They learn the danger of electric current, safety rules, automation, logical operations and their implementation with logical networks and PLC. They learn about energy generation using various electrical sources and electrical distribution systems.

The tools and the equipment we use in laboratory are:
- Digital multimeter: to measure current, voltage and resistance
- Computer: to use software for PLC programming
- Variable resistor: to change its resistance value
- Variac (hand-variable autotransformer): to transform the alternating 230 volt mains voltage into a voltage between 0 and 230 alternating volts
- Laboratory electric power supply: to transform the alternating voltage into direct voltage
- Lamps: for commanding signals
