ISP Online / Home learning

(Model 3 - Hybrid Model)

Model 3 - Online / Home Learning

Status - Grade Level Closure

Those Involved - Only for students whose grade has been closed/those who are attending a hybrid learning model (e.g. alternating days)

20th / August / 2021

Dear ISP Community,

ISP is open across our three campuses, following the health, hygiene and safety guidelines of the French authorities. We will also apply ISP’s own hygiene, physical distancing and movement control measures to ensure high levels of safety for both students and staff.

From September 1st, attending school at all grade levels is mandatory for students in France.

Our priority is always face-to-face learning on campuses. A modified Online / Home Learning programme will be used to support fully enrolled families when a grade group has been closed, or for students who are in official quarantine or subject to border control concerns entering France. To note, Online Home Learning may be modified depending on the particularities of the grade, or student, situation.

During any mandated distance learning periods, our Online Home Learning programme will drive our students’ learning programme and provide resources and wellbeing information.

Online Home Learning offers a balance of on-screen and off-screen tasks that connect to previous learning and the current curriculum. Our Online Home Learning site directs students to their learning tasks through the Managebac, Google Classroom and SeeSaw platforms.

This hybrid learning model is in place for students if Paris is operating under heightened sanitary restrictions and student numbers on site are limited for these grade levels.

If needed, you will find be notified of the alternate schedule via email and on this website.

If the hybird model is put into place, please note the following important details:

  • We will continue to welcome students into school for their PHE classes, which will take place off campus. Students should come to school as normal in the mornings on these days, and will be released to return home when they get back to school at the end of the PHE lesson,

  • The school bus will run as normal, but students in school for PHE will not be able to stay in school to wait for the bus at the end of the day.

  • When students are not on campus they will follow this Model 3 - Hybrid Learning Online Home Learning via Zoom and ManageBac with their class.

  • If the restrictions are eased at any time, we will return to full-time, in-school learning. We will communicate further dates through email and this website.

School Principals will communicate to all groups that are involved in this blended or full closure. Where you have questions, leaders and key staff members contact details are provided below.

Please continue to bookmark our Learning and COVID-19 webpage, where you will find general COVID information and related resources.

Kind regards,

David Henry
