Where can I find more information about state testing with Insight PA?
Check out the Family State Testing Guide
Does my child have to test?
Yes - If your child is in a tested grade/subject and is scheduled to test, they are required to attend. As a Pennsylvania Public School, Insight PA Cyber Charter School is required by the Pennsylvania Department of Education to administer the PSSAs, Keystones, PASAs, and ACCESS for ELLs.
What if my child gets sick the morning of testing?
If your student is not able to come the morning of a test due to illness or a family emergency:
Contact the site lead by email, text, or phone call. Please make sure you leave your student’s full name, grade level and your name and relationship to the student.
The site lead will reply with options for scheduling a make up day.
Complete the attendance form.
What does my student need to bring? Will there be snacks?
Your student should bring their school issued calculator. We will provide all other materials needed for testing as well as water and a light snack. If your child would like to bring their own snack for break time, they are welcome to (please avoid snacks with nuts). They may also bring a book to read when they are done testing.
Is the test computerized?
Yes, PSSA and Keystone tests will be taken on the computer. Students will be provided a computer specially prepared for testing. They should bring their school issued headset.
