The boundary conflicts between Panama and Colombia were solved in 1921.
On August 20th, the Victoria-Velez Treaty was signed in Bogota by plenipotentiary minister of Panama, Nicolas Victoria, and the minister in Colombia of Foreign Affairs, Jorge Velez.
This treaty was based on the border made by the Colombian law of June 9th 1855, which tentatively set the common border.
The negotiation allowed the reestablishment of diplomatic relationships between Panama and Colombia in July 1924.
In January 1932, the formation of a Mixed Committee was agreed upon to draw the borders between Panama and Colombia.
In 1938, an agreement was reached in los altos de Aspave. They were able to put an end to boundary problems between Panama and Colombia.
